Corcovado Foundation

The Corcovado Foundation works in the Osa Peninsula in Costa Rica and aims to increase environmental education, sustainable tourism and preserve and protect the local environment. Their Turtle Conservation Program is involved in the protection of sea turtles that nest on the beaches in Drake Bay. Their community based conservation initiative helps support the local economy by sensitizing the locals on the need to preserve this species while offering them an income if they support the conservation actions, either through contracted work or the housing of volunteers for homestays.
